Team Gushue remains unbeaten after five games at Brier
It was perhaps his toughest match so far at the Brier. However, Brad Gushue and Team Newfoundland and Labrador secured a 9-8 win over Nova Scotia to remain unbeaten at the Montana’s Brier men’s curling championship in St. John’s.
The six-time champion needed to hit some big shots late to post his fifth-straight win on home ice at Mary Brown’s Centre.
Team Gushue is back in action this morning with a matchup against Prince Edward Island. Meanwhile, Nathan Young and the other Newfoundland and Labrador team are in the playoff mix with a 3-3 record.
