On Wednesday afternoon the RNC were conducting patrols in the west end of St. John’s when they observed a male asleep in a vehicle.

The officer was familiar with the male and was aware that he had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The 28-year-old male attempted to evade police but was quickly taken into custody.

The man was taken to the St. John’s City Lockup and was held to appear in court.
