At 10:50 p.m., RNC patrol officers on the Outer Ring Road in St. John’s observed a vehicle travelling 165 km/h via radar.

A traffic stop was initiated where the 24-year-old male operator was issued a summary offence ticket for speeding in excess of 51 km/h, a seven day license suspension, and his vehicle was impounded.
