Arrest warrant issued for Edward Sillitt

An arrest warrant has been issued for 35-year-old Edward Donald Sillitt, who is actively evading police. Sillitt is wanted by Nain RCMP in relation to a charge of uttering threats. Anyone with information about his current location is asked to contact Nain RCMP at 709-922-2862

Ordnance Street closing for two weeks

As of today, Ordnance Street in St. John’s will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to facilitate paving. Passenger vehicles are asked to detour via Wood Street. Commercial vehicles must detour via Cochrane Street.  The detour is scheduled to conclude in approximately two weeks.  Access for locals and pedestrians will be maintained.
