The RNC is reminding motorists in the St. John’s Metro area that some roads are icy and snow-covered due to drifting snow. There has been an increase in reported collisions in the area this morning. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving.

Fire crews and the RCMP responded to a fire on Monday night in Cape St. George. The fire occurred at Ozzy’s General Store on the main road in the community. The road was impassable for about an hour. There is no word on the cause of the fire.

Police are warning the public of dangerous use of illicit drugs, after a string of sudden deaths over the last week.
