The RCMP’s annual Name the Foal contest is returning, from April 8 to 26.

Children 14 years old and younger, along with school classes from across Canada, are encouraged to submit their best names for our newborn horses.

This year, submissions must start with the letter “A.” Through the contest, there will be ten foals named.

The RCMP has been breeding its black horses since 1939.
