The premier was in Dubai over the weekend on a healthcare recruitment drive. A team from this province set out with an aim at making an attractive offer to workers in that industry to consider relocation here.

Premier Furey lead this provinces team at the Canadian Health Attraction Recruitment Mission to present what he says is a competitive offer that brings quality of life for those who chose to work in Newfoundland & Labrador. The recruitment mission also involves conversations on the energy sector, as government officials met with regional business leaders to highlight natural resources and renewables here. The provincial government reports that since April 1st of 2023, more than 450 nurses and 79 doctors have been recruited.
