It was supposed to be a day to celebrate the season, but instead, thousands of people were sent home yesterday after a firearms offence shut down the Downtown St. John’s Christmas Parade.
The standoff ended peacefully when three people were taken into custody, but no charges have been laid yet, and there are still unanswered questions about what happened. NTV’s Beth Penney reports.
