The RNC responded to an east end area of St John’s overnight to a report of unknown trouble in progress.

Police located a 24-year-old male in the area who was in possession of a large knife.

The male was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.

The male was held for court.
