Police are investigating a theft and possible arson in Tors Cove last Wednesday. Ferryland RCMP received a report of property damage to a residence that was under construction on Beachy Cove Road, as well as theft of items from the home. The next day, police received a report that an excavator had been burned while parked on the same property overnight.

The fire is believed to have happened between 11 p.m. Oct. 9 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 10. The excavator was valued at over $2,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ferryland RCMP.
