A crash that saw a sedan collide with a parked SUV in downtown St. John’s on Monday evening resulted in no reported serious injuries.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, on Southside Road near Blackhead Road, at about 7:00 p.m.. The driver of a westbound sedan drove into the back of a parked SUV, causing moderate damage to both vehicles.

All occupants of the sedan, including an infant child, were assessed by paramedics at the scene. It was unknown at the time if transport to hospital was required. Any injuries sustained were believed to be minor in nature.

Southside Road was closed in the area for a time as crews worked, and as the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary investigated.
