The driver of a vehicle that went off the highway early Saturday morning escaped serious injury, however their vehicle sustained extensive damage.
Emergency crews responded to the crash shortly before 9:00 a.m.. The driver of a car traveling eastbound on the Outer Ring Road between Team Gushue Highway and Allandale Road lost control near the crest of a hill. The car went off the road, rolling over in the ditch and coming to rest on its side. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was assessed by paramedics at the scene but was not taken to hospital.
Roads were wet in a short period of heavy showers at the time of the crash.
