Youth dead after drowning in Grand Falls-Windsor, police say
Police say youth has drowned in Grand Falls-Windsor.
It happened Thursday afternoon shortly before 4:30. Police responded to a report that a person had gone into the water at the Leech Brook swimming hole. The RCMP, emergency services and Exploits Search and Rescue were called.
Search and rescue volunteers found the youth and brought them to shore, but they were pronounced deceased at the scene. To respect the privacy of the deceased and their family, police are not giving any other details at this time.
