Two teenagers charged with violating ATV laws in Mount Pearl

Two teenagers have been charged with violating ATV rules.

On June 27 at about 3:10 a.m., members of the RNC Traffic Services unit was parked in the Mount Pearl RNC office parking lot when the officer saw an ATV travelling down Clyde Ave. A girl on the rear of the ATV was not wearing a helmet. Officers found the ATV on a cul de sac where a traffic stop was initiated.

The 17-year-old boy driving the ATV was charged with failure to have insurance on the ATV, operating an ATV on the roadway, and operating a ATV on the roadway while not having a driver’s license.

The 16-year-old girl riding as a passenger was charged with failure to wear a helmet while on an ATV. Police seized and impounded the ATV.
