Tourism Connect NL regional series launches today in Springdale
Tourism Connect NL launches today in Springdale, bringing tourism operators, community leaders, industry partners and business-support organizations together for the first of seven regional sessions across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Held under the theme Connecting People, Places and Product, the series combines practical learning, regional dialogue and direct access to programs and resources. Each full-day event will examine regional opportunities and challenges, help operators strengthen workforce practices and make informed use of digital tools and responsible AI, and connect businesses with organizations that can support their next stage of growth.
“Tourism Connect NL is about turning regional insight and industry connections into opportunities for sustainable growth,” said John Devereaux, Chair of Hospitality NL. “To realize this potential, Newfoundland and Labrador also needs the air and marine access, and the capacity within those services, to move more visitors reliably to and throughout the province. Strong transportation links are essential if tourism businesses and communities are to grow, reach new markets and deliver on the opportunities identified through these conversations.”
“Tourism businesses need practical information they can put to work, as well as clear pathways to the people and programs that can help,” said Juanita Ford, Chief Communications Officer at Hospitality NL. “These regional sessions bring that support into communities, helping businesses build skills, explore useful tools and leave with stronger relationships and actionable next steps.”
