Tip from public helps police nab impaired driver
A tip from the public helped police nab a suspected impaired driver in St. John’s over the weekend. Just before 9 o’clock Saturday evening, RNC patrol officers responded to the area of Bay Bulls Road, where someone reported seeing a vehicle swerving all over the road. Officers found the vehicle stuck in a snow bank.
The 50-year-old male driver was arrested and after further investigation, was charged with impaired driving and refusing a submit a breath sample. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
