The RNC made three arrests and recovered stolen property in Conception Bay South (CBS).
Just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday (June 23), Operational Patrol Services responded to a gas-and-dash on the CBS Highway where a driver fled in a school bus. Officers, upon arrival, identified the driver as 23-year-old Logan Oake from surveillance video. The bus he was driving was reported as stolen around 9 a.m..
The bus was later located on Minerals Road. As officers were on scene investigating, a male fled from a nearby home. Roger Kennedy, 41, was arrested on outstanding warrants and breaching a release order.
As a result of the investigation, shortly before noon Tuesday, Oake was located at a home in Long Pond where he was arrested with 27-year-old Lucas Dawe. Oake was charged with theft under $5,000, possessing property obtained by crime, resisting arrest, and breaching a release order. Dawe was charged with two counts of breaching a peace bond and failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused were held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
