Sun Block party coming to Johnson Geo Centre Wednesday
The Johnson Geo Centre is inviting the public to take part in a special Sun Block Party on Wednesday, August 12, as St. John’s prepares to experience a 53 per cent solar eclipse.
The event will offer an opportunity for people to safely experience the celestial event, with St. John’s expected to be one of the best places in Canada to view the eclipse.
The Sun Block Party will take place at the Johnson Geo Centre from noon until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Organizers are encouraging the public to come out and enjoy the event while taking in the solar eclipse.
Regular Geo Centre admission applies. Each admission includes one pair of solar viewing glasses while supplies last.
