Roddickton RCMP charge man with assault and resisting arrest
Roddickon RCMP arrested a 46-year-old man after police responded to a disturbance at an area restaurant yesterday.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 1, police responded to reports of a disturbance at a restaurant in Englee. Officers attended the scene and learned that a man had approached, threatened and assaulted another patron.
The suspect was identified and police located him nearby. Police attempted to arrest the man, however, he refused to cooperate with officers’ demands before he was safely taken into custody.
The 46-year-old Englee man will appear in court in August 2026 to answer to Criminal Code charges of:
- Assault, and
- Resisting arrest
The investigation is ongoing.
