RNC arrest man for trafficking
The RNC seized suspected cocaine and cash from a man in St. John’s.
As part of a drug trafficking investigation by the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit (WDEU), around 6 p.m. Friday (June 26), Operational Patrol Services officers arrested an 18-year-old man at Father Walsh’s Park on drug-related offences and breaching a release order. During a search of his person officers located:
- Six grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 3.6 grams of cocaine
- $5,200 cash
The accused was charged and held in custody for the breach with further charges pending following the results of drug testing. The investigation is ongoing.
