RNC arrest male following break and enter
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a male following a break and enter and assault in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. On Friday, March 13, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Portugal Cove Road where a male was located with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment. The incident is not believed to be random.
The Major Crime Unit was engaged to investigate and as a result, Christopher Ring was located and arrested yesterday (April 7) and charged with the following:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breaking and Entering
- Robbery with Violence
- Mischief
- Uttering Threats
The 44-year-old was held to appear in court today.
