RCMP Urging Drivers to be Moose-Alert After Pair of Accidents
RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador are urging the public to be moose-alert after two moose-vehicle collisions on Tuesday. Both accidents happened after sunset, when moose are more difficult to see, but fortunately, neither driver was injured. RCMP remind drivers to reduce speed in wooded or moose-prone areas, stay focused and alert, watch for moose signs, ensure your headlights are on, and use high beams when it is safe to do so.
