Province introduces legislation to cut gas tax; next week’s federal budget to highlight Churchill Falls
Legislation to cut the provincial gas tax was officially introduced in the House of Assembly Thursday. The four-month gas tax cut will be extended if Brent crude oil remains about $89 a barrel. The federal government, meanwhile, is highlighting Churchill Falls in next week’s budget. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.
