Province awards 100 scholarships to young women throughout Newfoundland and Labrador
Premier Tony Wakeham and Lela Evans, Minister of Women and Gender Equality, will be joined by Joan Marie Aylward, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, to celebrate the recipients of the 100th Anniversary of Women Achieving the Right to Vote and Hold Public Office Scholarship Program.
The event will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Capital Hotel in St. John’s.
According to the province, the awarding of these scholarships is an investment not only in education, but in the future leadership of Newfoundland and Labrador.
