Police suspends driver for excessive speed in Felix Cove
RCMP Traffic Services West seized the vehicle and suspended the licence of a 62‑year‑old driver on Friday after he was caught excessively speeding in Felix Cove.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Feb. 27, an officer with RCMP Traffic Services West observed a vehicle travelling more than 50 km/hr over the limit in a 100 km/hr zone on Main Road in Felix Cove.
A traffic stop was conducted and a Picadilly man was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). During the stop, police also determined that the vehicle he was driving was not roadworthy. His license was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
