Police searching for wanted man in stolen vehicle following early morning pursuit
RNC officers responded to an Irving gas station on Kenmount Road around 3:30 a.m. this morning where a wanted person by the RCMP was reported to be getting gas in a stolen vehicle from Carbonear.
As police got to the scene, the driver fled and collided with a taxi and two RNC police cruisers. A very short pursuit was shut down due to public safety as the driver is known to police and has a history of dangerous driving offences.
This investigation remains active. Police are requesting that any sightings of a white Honda Accord with the license plate number HXZ084, which now has extensive front end damage, to be reported to police.
