Police continue investigation into cat that suffered apparent gunshot wound

Justice, News

Police are continuing their investigation after a cat was apparently shot on the west coast. The animal rescue organization taking care of the cat has given an update, as they fundraise to cover medical expenses.
It started when an orange cat, named Romeo, was dropped off at a veterinarian’s office on the west coast to be treated for what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The animal was found in the West Bay area, and is now being cared for in St. John’s. With mounting medical bills for Romeo, New Life Rescue has started a fundraiser. In a statement today, the organization said Romeo is doing much better. They’ve launched a 50/50 draw to help cover ongoing medical expenses.
The draw will happen this weekend. So far the fundraiser has raised more than $30,000.
