UPDATE: Police operation in Cowan Heights resolved peacefully after man taken into custody
A police operation on Duntara Crescent in the west end of St. John’s has been peacefully resolved with one man taken into custody. Area residents can resume normal activities. A continued police presence is expected in the area while the investigation is ongoing.
The RNC had responded to a call-for-service on Duntara Crescent, and residents in the surrounding area were asked to shelter in place for much of the day.
