Newfoundland and Labrador attends Seafood Expo North America
Premier Tony Wakeham and Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Loyola O’Driscoll, are in Boston to attend the Seafood Expo North America 2026. Federal Fisheries Minister, Joanne Thompson will be leading the Canadian delegation.
The Seafood Expo North America is the largest seafood industry event in North America. The three-day exhibition attracts thousands of suppliers and buyers from across the globe. Providing an opportunity to showcase seafood products from Newfoundland and Labrador, and the rest of Canada, to an international audience.
Fish and seafood are among the largest single food commodities exported by Canada. The country exported $8.5 billion worth of fish and seafood to 114 countries in 2025. Lobster was the most valuable export species last year, worth over $3 billion.
The Seafood Expo North America 2026 runs from March 15th to the 17th, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
