Nicole Kieley resigns as Mount Pearl deputy mayor as recovery continues
Nicole Kieley has resigned as the deputy mayor of Mount Pearl.
In a Facebook post, Kieley said that after much reflection, she made the decision to resign effective yesterday, November 5, 2026.
Kieley was on a leave of absence to take time to recover, but shared that more time is needed.
Over the past several years, Kieley has experienced extraordinary challenges, including a traumatic accident in which she lost a leg.
It’s unclear at this time who will replace Kieley as deputy mayor of Mount Pearl. NTV News will have more information as it becomes available.
