Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro to hold media availability following major island-wide outage
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro will hold media availability following major island-wide outage this afternoon.
In a statement Hydro says a trip on the Labrador-Island Link transmission line has caused power interruptions to customers in several areas on the island.
‘These types of outages occur roughly 5-8 times a year on the island part of the province, with different blocks of customers being affected each time. They rarely last more than 30 minutes.’
