MUN Engineering Department issues apology
Memorial University’s Engineering Department is apologizing after emails containing registration information were sent in error to students waiting on their acceptance. The email, while not an official acceptance letter, contained registration information intended for students who have already been accepted. but the email was also sent in error to a number of students whose acceptance is still pending.
The email error drew online criticism in the ‘Mun Parents’ Facebook group, some members calling the mistake ‘disheartening’ and asking for accountability.
In a statement to NTV News, the department says it apologizes for the upset and confusion caused and will put practices in place to prevent this from happening again. Final decisions on Memorial University applications will follow the release of high school grades later this month.
