Mary’s Harbour RCMP tickets driver for excessive speed on Route 510 near Lodge Bay
A 72-year-old man had his licence suspended after Mary’s Harbour RCMP caught him driving 61km/hr over the posted speed limit on Tuesday afternoon.
At 12:50 p.m. on July 14, an officer conducting proactive patrols of Route 510 in the community of Lodge Bay observed a vehicle travelling at 91 km/hr in a 30km/hr construction zone.
Police conducted a traffic stop, and the driver – a 72-year-old man – was ticketed for excessive speeding, and his licence was also suspended.
