Man Charged With Impaired Driving After Crashing Twice on Same Road Within 40 Minutes
Monday night around 9:30pm, RNC responded to a hit and run motor vehicle collision in the west end of St. John’s. About 40 minutes later, a single vehicle collision was reported on the same road, and while the vehicle was unoccupied upon police arrival, officers determined it was involved in the earlier collision. RNC were able to locate the 37-year old driver, who was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, dangerous operation, and over .80. He was also issued tickets for driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license, failing to transfer ownership, and open liquor in the vehicle. He was held for court.
