Man arrested in St. John’s for assault, threats, forcible confinement

Shortly after 2:00a.m., on December 18th, police in St. John’s responded to a report of an assault that had occurred at a residence in the west end of the capital city.

Upon arrival police had learned that the suspect had left operating a vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the centre city area of St. John’s.

As a result the 34 year old male driver was arrested for assault, threats, forcible confinement and issued a 7 day driving suspension. The man’s drivers license was suspended and vehicle impounded. The man was escorted to St. John’s Lockup to appear in Provincial Court.
