Man arrested after assaulting a police officer
At 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the RNC responded to a call for assistance in the East End area of St. John’s.
Officers responded, and a 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with Resisting a Police Officer, Assaulting a Police Officer, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
The accused was taken to St. John’s City lockup to be held for court.
