Icebreaking operations underway in Goose Bay area
The Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaker Jean Goodwill will be conducting Icebreaking operations in the Goose Bay area this week from December 28 through January 2.
The icebreaker is in the area to support ferry operations and will be leaving an open water track behind it as it transits the area.
The Canadian Coast Guard advises to stay a safe distance away from the vessel and its track as cracks can extend for quite some distance from the vessel as it moves.
