House of Assembly opens Monday
The spring session of the House Assembly resumes this week.
In accordance with the 2026 parliamentary calendar, the House will convene for the Spring sitting period on Monday, March 2. Joan Marie J. Aylward, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will deliver the Speech from the Throne to officially open the First Session of the 51st General Assembly at 2:00 p.m.
The Speech from the Throne will be broadcast live via the House of Assembly television channel and streamed via the House of Assembly website and social media channels (Facebook and YouTube).
