Hospitality NL 2026 Conference & Trade Show continues Wednesday
Hospitality NL is hosting the 2026 Conference and Trade Show, taking place from February 24-26, 2026, at the JAG Hotel in downtown St. John’s.
Todays keynote speaker is Sarah McVanel, a recognition expert, she created F.R.O.G. — Forever Recognize Others’ Greatness. Her curated, customized talks explore why recognizing greatness is a fundamental key to improving morale, increasing top talent retention, and generating a positive corporate culture — all of which lead to sustained business success and a stronger bottom line.
On Tuesday the group announced its 2026 Board of Directors following a successful election process.
The 2026 Board of Directors will continue to lead the organization in advancing Newfoundland and Labrador’s tourism industry and advocating for the sector’s growth, sustainability, and long-term success.
Returning to the Board for a second term as Director at Large:

Newly elected as Director at Large:
- Niall Hickey – The Newfoundland Embassy
Newly elected as Small Accommodations Sector Representative:
- Sylvia Goodyear – Sister Homes Inc.
Elected by acclamation as Large Accommodations Sector Representative:
- Larry Laite – Capital Hotel
