Holy Cross win big and advance to semifinal in defence of their provincial soccer title
Holy Cross Nutra Holdings defeated Conception Bay South 4-0 as they opened their title defense Thursday night in St. John’s. Zoe Rowe had a hat trick while Teri Murphy added one. Both players would feature in the league’s regular season awards and all-star team, with Rowe taking top honours as regular season MVP. Holy Cross advance to Sunday’s championship game, while C.B.S. will play in the third place game on Saturday.
The All-star team and regular season awards were announced in between games, with Holy Cross featuring prominently.
