Harbour Grace RCMP arrests suspect in Winterton break and enter
Harbour Grace RCMP arrested and charged a 40-year-old Grates Cove woman Wednesday afternoon in relation to a residential break and enter in Winterton. She is also facing additional charges including failing to comply with conditions of a release order, after she was found in possession of a weapon during her arrest.
Shortly before 2:45 p.m., police received a call reporting a break and enter at an occupied home on the main road (Route 80) in Winterton. Police attended the scene and arrested the suspect, identified as Nicole Althea Driscoll, 40.
Driscoll was held in police custody and is expected to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on Thursday to answer to Criminal Code charges of:
- Break and enter to commit an indictable offence,
- Assault – two counts,
- Uttering threats,
- Failure to comply with a condition of a release order.
The investigation is ongoing.
