Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP Arrest Woman Accused of Assault and Impaired Driving
On Saturday, March 14th, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to a report of assault at a residence around 6pm. The victim reported that the suspect, who is known to police, also caused damage to their home before driving away. The victim also believed the suspect to be driving while impaired.
Police began looking for the suspect’s vehicle and located it a short time later outside a residence in Cottrell’s Cove. The 49-year old female suspect was inside and officers arrested her for assault, mischief, and operating a vehicle while prohibited. She also refused a breath sample and as a result was charged for refusal or failure to comply with a demand. She was released on conditions, and is expected to appear in court in June 2026.
