Former premier Williams defends $47K donation as no-limit political financing draws scrutiny
Former premier Danny Williams was speaking out today, after it was revealed he donated almost $50,000 to the Progressive Conservatives ahead of last fall’s provincial election.
Newfoundland and Labrador has no limits on political donations, be it from individuals, corporations, or unions.
Williams was one of many big contributors to donate to political parties in 2025.
