Flood warning issued for Lower Churchill River
The Department of Environment and Climate Change issued a flood warning late Saturday night for the Lower Churchill River area after rising water levels threatened potential flooding in Happy Valley – Goose Bay and Mud Lake.
Anyone situated near the river was asked to take appropriate measures to avoid flood damage.
Residents are asked to avoid the area as flooding may occur quickly and cause washouts.
