Excessive speeder ends up with his license suspended
A motorist had his vehicle seized and license suspended roadside on Monday (July 20) morning after he was stopped by RCMP officers, travelling more than 50 km/hr over the posted speed limit.
It was shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Route 4300 when an officer observed the vehicle travelling at speeds up to 132 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, a 30-year-old Trout River man, was ticketed for excessive speeding. His license was suspended, and his vehicle was impounded by police.
