UPDATE: Tractor Trailer removed from TCH after crash
A tractor trailer has been removed and the eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway have reopened after a crash Friday.

A detour is now available to eastbound motorists on the Trans-Canada Highway. The lanes were closed to traffic around 1:00 p.m. this afternoon due to a crash involving a tractor trailer near Whitbourne.
RCMP officers are on scene diverting traffic on Route 80 in Whitbourne, east across the Tilton Barrens, and south on the Veterans Memorial Highway to re-join the Trans-Canada Highway.
