Crab quota cuts announced as south coast hit hard
Federal fisheries minister Joanne Thompson announced cuts to crab quotas today.
It’s a modest cut overall, but the south coast has been hit especially hard. The quota has been a sticking point in getting the FFAW to the table to negotiate this year’s crab prices, and there’s still no resolution in sight.
