Cartwright RCMP thanks Sandwich Bay Retrievers for assistance locating overdue snowmobiler
An overdue snowmobiler was safely located Thursday night thanks to a timely and effective response by the Sandwich Bay Retrievers Search and Rescue team.
During the afternoon hours of Jan. 29, Cartwright RCMP received a report of a snowmobiler who had departed Black Tickle headed toward Cartwright earlier that morning. Cartwright RCMP attempted to locate the snowmobiler but were unable to do so, and engaged the Sandwich Bay Retrievers Search and Rescue Team to assist in the search.
Searchers located the man and his snowmobile safely around 6:30 p.m. on a trailway and transported both to Cartwright.
