Canada’s medal count climbs to 11 after golden performance

Canada’s medal count continues to rise at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy following a Megan Oldham’s golden performance last night.

It’s the Parry Sound, Ontario’s second medal of these games after capturing bronze in the slopestyle.
Meanwhile, the stage is set for the men’s and women’s hockey teams. Following a 5-1 win over Switzerland in the semifinal, it’s now a one game, winner takes all showdown against the United States for gold. Marie-Philippe Poulin also set an Olympic record, scoring her 19th career goal, the most for any female at the Games.

On the men’s side, Canada has punched their ticket to the semifinal and will play the winner of the Czechia and Switzerland game today.

Canada’s medal count now stands at 11 – two gold, four silver and five bronze.
