Canada Post delivery service alerts issued for parts of Newfoundland and Labrador
Canada Post has issued today red delivery service alerts for Gander, Clarenville, St. John’s and the Avalon Peninsula due to the ongoing snowfall. A yellow delivery service alert remains in place for Corner Brook due to unsafe road conditions and accessibility to addresses caused by severe winter conditions.
A red service alert means that we are suspending delivery for the day and not sending our delivery agents out or recalling them. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.
An alert can be issued for a particular community or an entire province, depending on the weather event.
Customers are encouraged to clear the ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their delivery agents, when service resumes.
